FrontFace is not only a single application but a fully fledged application platform. Apart from the “big” editions for Tablet PC’s and Netbooks, there is also an edition that targets the special use case of public displays and digital signage.

FrontFace for Public Displays allows you to easily set up Internet-connected public displays and digital signage systems. FrontFace can display any type of content from the Web (entire Web pages (HTML), Videos, Flash, Silverlight but also plain PNG or JPEG images) on unattended displays in a visually attractive way by applying eye-catching transition effects. Additionally, FrontFace for Public Displays can integrate RSS news feeds on a ticker tape, display a real time clock and show an overlay logo to perfectly mimic the well known look and feel of TV news stations.

FrontFace does not only target netbooks, tablets and notebooks – with FrontFace for Public Displays, there is also a special edition that allows to easily setup Internet connected public displays and digital signage systems. The browser engine of FrontFace for Public Displays is based on the Chromium Web browser and provides a very quick rendering plus support for many new features such as HTML 5 and CSS 3.
