XnConvert is a versatile program that allows users to combine more than 80 actions and work with many image formats. The free batch-image processor works across multiple platforms and accepts 500 image formats.
Its extensive toolset allows you to choose multiple operations, including transforms, filters, metadata, adjustments and other effects like applying watermarks, vignetting and masking.
If you prefer using the command line, then you can seamlessly export the program for such usage.
There are different XnConvert versions for both 64-bit and 32-bit editions of the three major operating systems – Windows, Linux and Mac. It is also a multilingual program whose interface accepts over 20 languages.
Speaking of the interface, you will find it easy to use the batch image processor because of the simple user interface.
You can use XnConvert to export images to 70 different formats and import from over 500 file formats. You may choose to save exported images to source folders of the original files or specify your desired folder.
In addition to converting images, the program is useful in performing some editing functions. For example, you can use it for cropping, masking, cleaning metadata, resizing canvas, rotating, changing color depth and setting DPI. You may add multiple actions and perform them simultaneously.
The “Preview” pane allows you to view “Before” and “After” images to help you see the effects of your changes, and you may zoom either in or out of the images depending on what you want to focus on.
The “Output” tab lets you make various selections, most of which involve marking or unmarking check boxes.
