** Vendors **
Sets up Vendor details
Vendor ID shows Current database Vendor Reference.
Add/Find enables the finding of existing Vendor ID' or the setting
up of new ones.
Click Address Line 1 to View vendors List Sorted By vendor Name
Transfer Data moves all data in vendors file to
ABVendor.txt file and data may then be loaded to a spread
sheet.
Delete removes Current record from the Vendors Database.
Refresh Vendors Reloads the Vendors list from the vendors file so
changing the list given by clicking Address Line 1.
** Stock Record **
Sets up Stock Record detail
List of all Current stock is represented in Stock List at right side
of screen. Click line in list to display record. Click Supplier to display
list of suppliers and select to set supplier.
Enter stock Id in Stock ID to Add or Find then press Add Find to display
or Create New Record
Tick Sub Master Record if details of records to set up are similar, this
saves time meaning that a previous records detail is used as the basis of
a new one.
Delete removes current record.
Transfer Data transfers all Stock record detail to
ABStock.txt file this data may then be processed
by spreadsheet.
** Stock Transactions **
Enables the Recording of Stock Transaction detail.
Stock record to view may be accessed by clicking on reference in
lower right list.
If new stock records are added via Stock Record then the list of
records on the Stock Transactions screen can be ammended by clicking
Refresh Stock.
Supplier Stock List selection enables Stock transaction records list
specific to a particular supplier to be displayed.
Stock, Location, Retail Value Cost Value are specific to a particular
stock record.
Date by default is today but may be ammended, Quantity Ordered
Details/Comments is free text. Quantity Received is any number.
Clicking line in the transaction list will delete it from the list
and enable its details to be edited. Clicking Add Line adds details changed
back to transactions list.
Transfer Data transfers all transaction data to ABTrans.txt file
this data may then be processed by spreadsheet.
** Stock Analysis Report **
Creates Stock Analysis Report.
Report Detail copied to c:\MyDocuments\StockRep.txt this may then be
transfered to a spreadsheet format.
** Compact Databases **
IT IS IMPORTANT TO CREATE A BACKUP COPY OF THE LIVE VERSION OF
ABSTOCK.MDB
BEFORE RUNNING THIS PROCEDURE
This procedure Creates a compacted version of
ABStock.mdb as :
C:\Program Files\ABInventoryControl\CompactVersionABStock.mdb
this file must be copied and renamed to replace the existing
ABStock.mdb
** Repair Databases **
Repairs databases if structure becomes faulty.
It may be necessary to unshare then reshare a networked database version.
** Password **
Initial Password Set to no password must be
reset via {Inventory Control/Utilities/Set Passwords}
** Set Database Path **
Enables the remapping of Database paths to Network server Mapped Drives.
